Google Book Search Project Facing a New Roadblock

Google has discovered new resistance for its purported settlement on the Google Book Search Project case. A group of publishers and authors are claiming that the agreement can sabotage the privacy rights of both authors and readers.

The National Coalition of Authors is the force behind this new opposition. Michael Chabon, Jonathan Lethem, Bruce Schenier are some of the top authors in this group. The group includes the Electronic Frontier Foundation, American Civil Liberties Union, the Samuelson Law, Technology and Publich Policy Clinic at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.
